David G. Bothwell is a lifelong resident of Connecticut. He was born and raised in Greenwich, Connecticut where he atteneded attended local schools. He went on to graduate from Villanova University in 1991 and in 1996 from Quinnpiac University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate. Upon graduating Attorney Bothwell began work in a general practice law firm practicing in the areas of Criminal Defense, Family Law, Personal Injury Litigation and Probate.
After over four years of representing clients in private practice, Attorney Bothwell decided to take on a new challenge that would allow him to use his legal skill and expertise to better assist the general public. To that end, in 2001, he joined the Connecticut Division of Public Defender Services as an Assistant Public Defender. During his five years with the Public Defender’s Office he represented thousands of clients in criminal matters ranging from minor violations and misdemeanors to serious felony charges. In that time, he became a seasoned trial attorney, trying multiple criminal cases to jury verdict.
Working as a Public Defender was a valuable experience that shaped the legal philosophy that Attorney Bothwell brings to his private practice of law. The philosophy that you work as hard as you can for your client no matter what the cost and no matter what the reward while always maintaing your credibility, honesty and integrity.
